In 2004, we designed the home. In 2024, we added a shed and finalized the outdoor living spaces that complete the master plan for the home’s backyard. The 90 SF shed provides much needed storage for tools and sports' equipment and provides the backdrop to a fire pit area. Clad in variegated widths of cedar siding, the shed anchors the SE corner of the yard. Sliding barn doors conceal inside and outside storage. A steel angle bolted to the front of the shed carries the rolling door track that cantilevers out beyond the shed to screen outdoor equipment and tools. Off the dining room, a porch provides a cozy covered outdoor sitting space that is visible from the interior. The porch edge is defined by a narrow steel planter that also houses an outdoor gas fireplace. Steel stairs lead down to the backyard.
