This young family of three love their cozy Columbia City home. Built as part of a development of cottage style townhomes, the home was efficiently laid out but lacked storage. So, they hired us to help them solve for that challenge.

The remodel consisted of four parts: the conversion of a covered exterior deck into a home office/den/piano playing space; the restructuring of the front entry to add closet cabinetry and storage; the replacement of an existing pantry with a more functional cabinet solution; and the conversion of an understair closet into a side entry mudroom.

The home’s dark wood, shaker style kitchen cabinets weren’t changing, so the new casework was designed to complement it, while also lightening and brightening the space.
