Pagliacci 85th has anchored this corner of Crown Hill for years.
The building’s aging foundation was slowly sinking into the ground necessitating a rebuild in 2020. In addition to shoring up the foundation, our design rebooted the building inside and out and added 450 SF.
We uncovered and exposed the building’s original roof structure, added new floor to ceiling windows and enlarged the dining area. We designed new wood and steel furnishings for the space as well as exterior signage and lighting that tie into the building’s exterior cladding system. Local lighting craft firm - Resolute - built the custom and off-the-shelf fixtures for the space. All of the building’s systems were upgraded to meet today’s energy and building performance requirements.
The redesign factored in construction scheduling so the store could remain open during the build.
