Our design for Pagliacci’s Mercer Island pizzeria drew inspiration from the Island’s surrounding mid-century post and beam buildings. Exposed beams span across the dining and entry areas and extend out to create deep eave overhangs and protection over the sidewalk. Windows and doors encircle the building bringing in natural light and activating the street.

A tall brick structure marks the building corner and buffers the restaurant from an adjacent power pole that could not be moved. Brick is a ubiquitous material on the island and helps the restaurant blend in with the Town Center experience.
